Volunteer!

Our current volunteer opportunities are directly related to beach cleanup. But if walking up and down long and/or rugged beaches, stooping to pick up plastic water bottles and other kinds of marine debris isn't your cup of tea, you can still help. And we still need you! Our one-day cleanup events actually involve a lot more work than just cleaning the beach itself. We also need help with:

Running the volunteer check-in tables at each beach
Transporting collected debris to local dump sites
Holding after-cleanup BBQ celebrations
Various administrative tasks before and after each event

To sign up, please select an event:

Long Beach Winter Cleanup: January 26, 2008
Washington Coast Cleanup Day: April 26, 2008
Long Beach Summer Cleanup: July 5, 2008
Operation Shore Patrol: September 20-21, 2008

Additional volunteer opportunities will be posted here, especially for the many programs we're planning. To receive announcements of these new opportunities and other information about how you can help, sign up for our email newsletter (see top left).

In the meantime, stay in touch - and we'll see you on the beach!
