Years before the International Coastal Cleanup became official in 1986, the Pacific Northwest 4 Wheel Drive Association<\/a> started their own cleanup, Operation Shore Patrol in 1971 along Ocean Shores, Westport and the Long Beach Peninsula beaches. With over 50 years of cleanup experience, the PNW4WDA is the originator of a fall organized cleanup on Washington\u02bbs Pacific Coast. \u00a0<\/span><\/h1>\n

Join coastal communities from around the world in the 2025 International Coastal Cleanup<\/h2>\n

Saturday, September 20th to cleanup participating Pacific Coast and Strait of Juan de Fuca beaches.<\/h2>\n

Thank you to all of our partners for making the cleanup possible, including but not limited to: GrassRoots Garbage Gang<\/a>, Washington State Parks<\/a>, Washington Surfrider<\/a>, Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary<\/a>, Lions Clubs International<\/a>, USCG Chief Petty Officers Assn.<\/a>, Port Townsend Marine Science Center<\/a> and concerned citizens.<\/h2>\n

Registration for participating beaches opens about a month before the event.<\/strong><\/h2>\n
